Hey Everyone, the Music Committee is hosting the first ever “Talent Explosion” Wednesday evening, May 28 at 7 p.m.
This is a church-wide talent show open to people of all ages and all levels of serious or humorous talent! Just download an entry form from the link, fill it out and turn it in to the church office.

Tune up the old guitar, refresh that old comedy routine, teach the dog a new trick and sign up to participate in this Explosion of Fun and Frivolity!!
I will be singing a song, and I would love to see some of you all up there, or out in the audience, as well! If I recall, the Mens’ Bible study has a wondeful ability to sing a bible verse in the tune of Gilligan’s Island. And they say talent is wasted on the young! HA!

Ever curious about camping but feel intimidated by the tales of past Kenwood Adventures (see video in post below)? You are not alone, there is an introductory camping trip in the works. This trip will be car camping with a day hike. This means there will be restrooms at the camp site, you’ll only have to carry your tent and gear a couple of feet from the car, and the hike will be a moderate loop that ends up back at camp.
When: July 12-13
Where: Hocking Hills
Why: Fellowship, fun, and an introduction to the great outdoors.
The when and where are still negotiable…. but not for long. Please contact me if you are interested in going and/or have any questions. Updates will follow.

Below is a message from David about this years first Backpacking trip. I highly recommend it. It has been a worthwhile experience every year. I made a movie about last years trip, check it out.

It is the season for an excursion into the wilderness. We are planning

Details are listed after the jump. Please extend this invitation to those who
could benefit from sharing this time together. Please RSVP back to me (DavidPalmer@kenwoodbaptist.org) or to Jeff Kirsch (jkirsch@fuse.net).
In Christ,
David
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own
understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your
paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

I’m in, I’m in!! I got my own account and basic profile. I’ll pimp it out with an avatar and such later. I made myself an editor for the blog, I can help others do this too if we don’t want everyone running around as the admin. :-)
